Release. Repair. Recover.
A strong body is vital to maintaining health and wellness in all aspects of life. Through physical activity, we can prevent and treat pain, injuries and chronic health conditions.
As a specialised exercise therapist with twenty years’ experience and an evidence-based neuromuscular technique, I am trained to conduct thorough assessments and prescribe scientifically sound exercise programmes to suit individual needs.
Pain may be a result of an injury, a symptom of a chronic disease or simply a common ailment, such as lower-back pain, and hip or shoulder pain, experienced in everyday activities. Aches and pains can impair your ability to function optimally in daily living or sport, and often the treatment that is recommended is surgery. It is important to consider that with many pain-generating problems surgical procedures can be avoided entirely through safe and effective physical training.
For conditions that require surgery, adequate preparation can prevent complications and speed up the recovery process. I offer a proactive approach to surgery with personalised physical exercise programmes that will strengthen the area undergoing the medical procedure.
In addition, post-operative therapy will lessen the extent of pain experienced and result in a safe, effective and more rapid rehabilitation.
At Active Bodies, a holistic method of treatment and care will help you achieve relief from the specific symptoms of your condition as well as a better quality of life overall.
